Bikes Belong Coalition

Yesterday was a pretty busy day for me, running around taking care of paperwork, reports, deposits, recaps, etc...
But MR. Shimano called me up because he just happened to be in Boulder, CO the same time as myself.
We met up for coffee off of Pearl St.  The reason behind that was to meet a good friend of his Tim Blumenthal.  Tim is the Executive Director for Bike Belong Coalition.  They have a beautiful mission and their goals will match anyone who is already a cyclist!
MR. Shimano also hooked me up with a Shimano calendar, he told me that he only brings about 150 to the states for friends and family, so to say that I feel privileged would be an understatement!
Bike Coalition also hooked me up with some swag!

I am at my hotel right now with the maids banging at my door! So I will probably hang around town for a bit, and then take off to San Diego, Cali.  I hope the weather is perfect to run a full Marathon this weekend!

So, I am...

pretty much finished here in Boulder.  It was amazing to think that some force of people could actually coordinate the amount of 54,000 plus runners in one 10k event.  that was around the final numbers for this run!
Here are some more pics of my buddy and I geocaching.

That's about all it is, but for some reason the "sport" still pulls me in it's general direction!

I will probably fly out to San Diego tomorrow and from what I heard from a friend today is that the weather is not all the sunny and hot.  Which honestly, will be great because it's been since December since I ran a full marathon.  In a weird way I am kinda worried about this one, but as usual as soon as the race/run begins I'll feel extremely comfortable again ;)

ING Atlanta Marathon

So I ran another half marathon, this is my second half for the year.  It has been a lot of fun traveling all over the U.S. checking events off one by one.

  • Atlanta Half Marathon 13.1 miles
  • New Orleans Crescent City Classics 10k
  • Virginia Beach Shamrock 8k
  • Florida River Gate Run 15k

Next weekend I am flying out to California for the Carlsbad 5000.  This is probably one of the most famous 5k’s in the United States.  I may or may not  to participate  in this event  to see if my counter partner wants to have some fun also!

I do not know what future runs that I am going to do or not do.  I do know that I want to take advantage of the position that I am right now, and it has been (so far so good.)  I love all of the people that I meet and my new friends that I make across the nation.

Today as I ran 13.1 miles, I have to admit that it was oddly eccentric to have people on the course cheer me on in this foreign neighborhood. (foreign to me) and it was a pleasant/different/nice experience for me.  Those people were either friends (maigh)(Saturn Crew)(SPIBelt)(Mizuno)(The Stick) or just my customers that yell at me that recognized me from the expo.  See you guys in California in a couple of days...
