Some People...

Ok, I know that sometimes Piojo, A-Ron and even myself can say things that seem to be obnoxious and or mean. The majority of it is a joke, but this is truly taking it too far!
I was going to a softball game with "Pete's Budget" and driving in front of us was a truck hauling a bunch of trash... we look a little closer and in one of the chairs sitting is a person.
A person sitting in the chair I guess would be ok if he was back there to help make sure that certain items wouldn't fall off into the street and possibly hit my car right? But this individual was sound asleep and has down syndrome!

Bee careful!

First off... Yes I rode my bike! :)

Second, I have been parking at this gas station and riding my bike from there lately... It's this little route that I found that is like "my" Granjeno but for Edinburg instead.

well... After I finished my ride we noticed the tree next to us for some "odd" reason was covered with bees, I hope that they were not the killer bees!

Either way, I snuck a couple of shots in without being stung!

The Postal Bus (review)

Ok, I finally finished the book "The Postal Bus." Overall it was a faily decent book with a lot of insight that we don't think about and or do not see. It has been one of the better books that I have read that are cycling related especially compared to Bobke II. It's funny because the part that I personally found to be the most interesting was not the Tour De France, it was the chapter at the end that was related to the olympics that mainly grabbed my attention. So... if you do decide to read this book don't skip the last chapters I think that they are worth the read ;)

I hope that everyone had a good weekend, and after being run out of certain "territory" but some certain "hoodlums" I have learned my lesson ;) haha

Daily Special

Sorry the picture is blurry... I had to do a drive by shooting for this one! It seems that all the Subways are doing a promotion and putting "Daily Special" to all their signs. This one inparticular has been spelled incorrectly for almost two weeks! So I was forced to share! A good deal anyway!

Ring Side...

I few of my friends are the fight Doctors for local boxing matches... my father has a couple of ambulances. So my friends call me up and ask if my father can be the company with the paramedics. It's actually pretty cool watching a boxing match from the ring side, to tell you the truth I am not even a big boxing fan! After watching the fights, you still respect boxing just like you do any other sport.
above: is one of the trainers heads (he wouldn't move)
Above: is my father with the "main event" MOST of these boxers are actually built like cyclists!

Above: Is one of the paramedics with the ring girls.
Sorry about the quality of the pictures, I guess I am not good at taking action shots, atleast in boxing... it's still not the same as a bike ;)

Change Settings

Word Verification: I had to add this feature due to all the recent "spam" posts that I have gotten. The weird part is that I was being spammed in older posts, but none the less it still fills up my mail box. I truly attempted to stay away from the word verification to make the site as user friendly as possible. It seems that the spammers have gotten the best of the site! :(

Thor...

This is Thor:
His last day was yesterday at Bicycle World, I liked to bug this poor kid for some reason... I think because he actually owns a bike. Other than Mondo he was the only other tech that rides a bike, atleast that I can think of... He's off to Austin and I wish him well!

Package...

those little things in the middle are some Trek tattoos... I guess this was HIS bag because on the strap it has his name on it. I'll get a chance to use it on the 12 hour MTB race! ;)

For Non-Pro Cyclists

Right now I know that a lot of people have given up on the sport of cycling... or "lost faith" maybe even sports altogether. Here is a video that Jeef has provided and I felt was important to share...
:::Typed in grey is the true story:::
Dick (60) and Rick (42) also participate as a team in triathlons – grueling combinations of 26.2-mile runs, 112-mile bicycling, and 2.4-mile swims – a remarkable feat considering Rick’s inability to walk or talk. At birth, a coiled umbilical cord had wrapped around his neck, cutting off oxygen to his brain and leaving Rick a quadriplegic with cerebral palsy.
When Rick was eight months old the doctors informed the Hoyts that he’d be a vegetable all his life and that they should just put him away. But Dick and Judy Hoyt had connected with their wounded infant. During a recent phone interview, Dick told me that an extraordinary bond instantly formed between father and son.

Every single one of those 9 scratch Tour Mania's are winners...
What does it take to get that many winners?
A LOT of scratching!

"Piojo Pastries"

My friend got married a couple of weeks back, here are some pics of what I think are some pretty "creative" cakes.

You can actually eat the dragon and the sushi rolls... haha :)
