NYC Marathon in Review

There are TONS of pics "again" haha...
A lot of them are from the expo and Halloween.  I have posted some pics of the "behind the scenes" of the event to show you what it looks like before hand, and then all of the work that it takes to make it happen to create the finished results.

We ended up having to call Brooklyn home for a couple of days and commute by the subway to get to the expo every morning.  Each way was an extra hour or so, that's not too bad... but we are used to staying closer to the expo.

The expo was pretty long and mostly and international hot spot.  From what I heard it's hard to get into the NYC Marathon unless you are a celeb or register like a million years in advance!
Here is a pic of ground zero before sun fall.

As always "Times Square"

This was in the restroom of the hotel that I am staying at.  Tell me if you can find the spelling error!

It's funny because when I first got onto the subway I would see a lot of sad people, people without hope and in my perception a lot people with lost souls.  But after commuting back and forth for only 5 days I found myself feeling and probably looking the same way as the others on the train.

Here is what the expo looks like after it is finished and running:

Marine Corps Marathon Part 2 *photodump*

Too many pictures not enough time! Same ol' story huh?

Below:  You never see plaques like this at museums!

BLING* Bling*

Below:  It's weird, I used to find these fossils when I was young playing in the desert in Arizona.

I don't know why that kid is looking forward, if Orville is flying a kite to the right?

This last picture is pretty sad.. it's sad because I used to use and play with these things when I was a kid.  NOW they are up in a museum!  :(
Where have all the years gone?  :)

Marine Corps Marthon Part 1

I arrived to D.C. a couple of days early for the Marine Corps Marathon.  I needed to go to the bank, so I thought that I was super smart and mapquested it instead of using my gps.
I walk out from my hotel lobby and take a right.  I knew that it was a mile more or less.  After MOSTLY walking up hill I see a police officer and ask him where this address is.
It's located 3 miles back, and that I had already walked 2 miles.  "sigh" oh well, that's what I get right?
So I continue my 3 mile walk back after already walking 2 to the bank.  I finally arrive, and walk up to the teller... I soon realize that I forgot the bank account number!  so now I have to walk 1 mile BACK to my hotel to get it from my luggage!  After that it was just a "lost" cause!
Hey, at least I got some cool pics while exploring the city!

The pics below are from the Race Expo the race and in between.

basically this is what happens when you put in 40 hours in 3 days!

Detroit Recap 2

Ok... so much to blog soo little time!
Mostly pics with funny stories!
We can start with the Canadians... first off they don't like bacon, I asked them and that question only makes them upset.  "Note to anyone out there"
But they sure do love the color red!

These pics are mostly for my fellow Texans who don't get to see anything change, especially the weather!

Here is a pic of a fountain show at the finish line the night before the race for the Detroit Marathon.

This guy said that I had earned my badge for legit street cred.

He also said that if you didn't agree with him, then you can discuss it with him after school.

The cool part about being in different cities is hanging out with other sponsor friends :)

AND the crazy new staff that you get to work with every weekend!

I NEVER thought that I would ever need to wear that beanie coming from SOUTH SOUTH SOOOOOOUTH Texas!

I left Detroit Sunday and after I finish up some loose ends, it's back to work again "crackin' the whip" on myself.
There is a nice trail behind my hotel... I will prob check that out tomorrow and do some site seeing also!
