Happy Valentine's Day!

I am still sick but I am feeling alittle better atleast! I am still stuck in this hotel and this early morning they decide to weedeat outside and a huge and "loud" semi truck wants to park outside my room :( Hey atleast I have HBO right? I have seen StarWars like three times already! PLUS they showed one of the original episodes that I am watching right now :) It's pretty funny actually. Anyway Happy Valentine's Day!

Sick & Tired of being Sick & Tired...

I am sick and tired, after talking to my friends from the hospital I probably have the flu... Right now we are under a wind warning which basically tried to break down my down last night! Talk about a rude awakening! Tomorrow it is suppose to snow so it doesn't get any better! So I am just here warm and cold at the same time, my body can't make up it's mind. I guess I should have taken airborne like my friend recommended haha! Now I feel like a fool! I have lost my appetite and I have no car either, so basically I am stuck here and could not explore Dallas even if I had wanted to.

I am just here sitting at the airport in Harlingen. I have not been to this airport for awhile, it sucks cause there's one in McAllen A LOT closer but oh well! This will be my first time flying on SouthWest, I heard that it's a free for all on finding a seat... that sounds like a 'race' to me! I showed up really early so I have just been bugging people early this morning sending text msg's! Oh yeah and it seems from my extensive research it will be cold and rainy :(

Flying Out

I am flying out for a couple of days... I should be back AFTER or on the day of Valentine's, I hope Dallas is not freaking cold like everywhere else!!!!

Run Omar Run

This weekend was the Edinburg 10k. This event attracts thousands of people in a small town rural area, a lot of big names show up and truly are there for the 2,500 dollar pot of gold at the end!
We actually showed up late to the race... everyone had already left! But that's ok, it was more rabbits for us to chase, and it's A LOT harder to get passed when you started at the very end!

I am into geocaching… people know that, but not everyone and I guess it’s considered weird.

NOT shaving my legs… like Lance said shaving his legs would have been considered weird but since more of our readers are tris, runners, and cyclists it is actually pretty common so I am “weird” for not shaving my legs!

I got the comments to work "somehow" I don't even know how I did it... now when it has comments it changes color to the background so you cannot see it. Yes it is still there I will have to fix that later though!

Face Lift

Incase you haven't noticed! I changed a few things around... My original template was exactly that, a template; and it was beginning to sag in certain areas, so I did what most Americans do and I gave it a face lift ;) Also to explain the banner it'll be like that until Valentine's Day. I figure with it being so easy to change I might as well theme it alittle.

Mile Signs...

When riding out to McCook if you do not own a computer for your bike it is easy to have an idea of how many miles you have ridden *at least somewhat* not the most accurate, but hey better than nothing huh? Depending where you start it is usually a 50 mile route more or less and usually ends up being more! The sign is somewhat refreshing and motivating letting you know that you have made it out that far already... and even though it says mile 17 I didn't start at mile 0 Rd. I started at Mile negative 17 Rd!!!

on the road again..

i rode north east to mccook. along the way i ran into an old friend. the zebra.

the wind was pretty steady, i'd say at 15-18 mph. rode a steady pace, not hard, but not easy.

once i got there i ate a muffin, coke and coffee.


i like to suffer on my bike, on long stretches of road, in the great state of texas!

it was a great ride, and hope to do it again..

Extreme Point

I think that it said something after the word extreme... but when it says something like "Extreme, Beyond This Point!" why would I not go!

South Padre Island 10k

A good friend of mine Omar has been wanting to get into the world of cycling and running. I told him that he needs to do an event, that even if he gets last place this helps you catch the bug!

So he calls me up and says hey there is a 10k at South Padre Island "lets do it" I really do not want to... so I wake up for the run and call Omar "no answer" ok I tell myself, I am not going then! Omar calls me back several minutes later. NOW I am committed. I always remember feeling like this at times when waking up early for cycling rides, but after the ride was done I was so happy that I had made that small sacrafice! This was no exception...

13 mile run...

A couple of weeks ago I attempted to run 13 miles. The most I have probably run before is a 10k. My good friend Jeff said that I would loose count, that after awhile you just kinda zone out. So below I devised this innovative "rock" system. Everytime I ran one lap I would move one rock over haha, the track is 1.5 miles per lap.

Are you aloud to run in a cycling jacket if it's cold outside? Thanks Omar for showing up for support at the end.
As everyone knows I just got back from vacation, well this is the number one reason NOT to leave your dog with your sister to dog sit! It's kinda hard to tell in this photo but my sis made up this b.s. story how my dog got into the trash but really her and "friends" decided to shave his head and give him a moe hawk!
