Mashville, Ten I See...

So if you ever happen to go to Nashville, TN and end up at the OprayLand GayLord hotel, DO NOT be fooled by the name!  This hotel is amazing and amazingly HUGE!
Next to it is a mall that we wanted to get to, basically there is a long way around and then there is the other way.


Afterwards we did end up getting some dinner, hunger makes you do strange things--


We had a day or two off, so Marco and I decided to explore this town with some ol' fashun geocaching.  Who needs to update his blog btw.
It took us to some rural areas, but it took us to some nice get a way spots also.

Another 13.1

So I ran my third half marathon for the year so far.

• Rock & Roll Arizona
• Atlanta Half Marathon
• Rock & Roll Nashville

I have obviously run a couple of other distance events, but they were not halves.  I am also considering running the San Diego Rock & Roll Marathon which is coming up very soon.  If you run a certain about of elite racing aka Rock & Rolls you get a HUGE medal for participating in all of the runs for the year.
All of the runs have a half except for San Diego which is ONLY a full.  It doesn't matter when I finish, just as long as I finish.
Next weekend I will be in Indianapolis, there is a half marathon there or a 5k.
If my friend Marco is willing to run the 5k then I will not be running an event this weekend.  Which right now, is fine by me!

If You Can't Do Boston

Next weekend there is always the Country Music Marathon Rock & Roll!


I happen to fall under this category, so by no means am I making fun of anyway but myself!




My goal this year is to do as many events as I can. So I am not running full marathons, I am running the halves to make my goal easier.

Apparently this is an excellent top notch restaurant. As we did not have the time to enjoy a meal here, we did have the opportunity to take a picture to capture the moment. ;)

I have a TON TON TON of paper work, reports, and other what nots to do this weekend. I will do my best to update you on the Country Music Festival and post pictures from this weekend!

The Boston Marathon Recap

I am here nice and warm in Nashville, TN. Now those of you that are laughin, there are PLENTY of things to see and do while you are here visiting/ on vacation / or just to run a marathon to the tunes of some country music!
Below are pics from the Boston Marathon, as always let me know what you think ;)








They have a whole tribute, it's a must see/respect sight while you are there in Boston.



The weather was decent the whole time we were there. I am sad to say that I did not get the opportunity to participate in the awesome historical race because I am too slow for my age group and sex.
It's ok because I was just saving it for the Country Music Half Marathon this weekend! ;)
I have more pics and will post those tomorrow depending how great I feel after the expo!

When It Comes to Signs

I saw the sign... it opened up my eyes, and I read it and knew that these were the trails for me!  The second sign means that I should come back at a later time when I have access to a bike while up in Tucson again.

Cactus Shaped like hearts.

We ran across this turtle that apparently just hangs around the trail.  He is marked for scientific purposes.

I guess a desert is only as beautiful as the eye of the beholder, but I hope that I have helped change this perception!
