60th Anniversary
My grandparents celebrated their 60th year of being married. I don't have any pictures from the party, but I truly felt that it was worth blogging about.

"Hi" Heartrate
I am barely walking and only "thinking" of running and my HR jumps to 100! This is actually pretty typical :( What's wrong with me!? :)

Sorry "Lancenotstrong" but I was told that I had to use that name on my pet before I used it on my future kid! :)

An Alarming Situation
Pete, a coworker decided that he wanted an mp3 player and asked for me to go with him to BestBuy to help him pick one out. After choosing one we leave BestBuy and the alarm goes off... the guy in the front just waves us through so we proceed through the doors. As we get into his car we are driving on the expressway and I look at the mp3 player and it is STILL in the "security device!" Let me tell you from experience that if you do intend on stealing , it is extremely hard to open these things!

A Peach A Day...
ok maybe it's suppose to be an apple a day, but I once saw a cycling video where a pro cyclist was eating a peach and the guy with the camera goes up and asks why was he eating a peach does it make him ride faster??? His response was that it had vitamin A and C that Vitamin C helps retain water which is good for us while riding and also helps keep the body tempature cooler. I later discovered that Vitamin C is not naturally produced by the human body and is good for protecting the skin from UV rays.
Here are some other facts...
Here are some other facts...
- The United States provides about one-fourth (25%) of the world’s total supply of fresh peaches.
- The peach is a member of the rose family and will have a sweet fragrance when ripe.

Memorial Weekend Pics
This first pic cracks me up, I think this is what it would be about if rapper Little John was "Hispanic."
What caught my attention with this bridge is the fact that it was built straight out and then cement steps were added up to meet the bridge.
"The Blue Hole" I found this interesting because it is the "source" of the San Antonio River Walk.
This is by the Quarry, it's what's behind it that's interesting ;)
We should just plain out have more of these!
Becareful where you STEP!
This was taken at the Japanese Tea Garden while in SA. It is still underconstruction and STILL attracts tourists.
I think over all it was pretty different to go to San Antonio and NOT go to the usual River Walk, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, or common attractions like that.

Mt. Everest

If you don't want to read the article about the climbers I'll shorten it up for you... Bascially 40 climbers saw a "fellow" climber dying from lack of oxygen, they all felt that the mountain was more important and left him to die. Here's the article if you want to read more. "dying climber" so my point is here is that it's not just in cycling that we leave a weak man down!

Nike Plus iPod
I think that this concept is an idea in the making! :) Jeef sent me this link probably in Mochary but I feel that the concept is there, but at this time in the market that it might fail. I think that it would be hard for a runner to check your "stats" while the device is strapped to your arm, so you'll most likely have to WAIT till you get home to know exactly where you are at! :( and we all know that in this day and age that we want to know now!

Express Yourself

Ok I have been thinking lately and recently realized the "new" word for the decade... well atleast in business it is Express ;) I'll give you a short recap of how my week went this weekend. I flew out for business and I sat next to the Dean of Business for STC. He asked what I did and where I was going... so I told him this.
This morning I woke up with an "espresso" to put on my "Express Suit" I then rode the ME or "McAllen Express" to get to the airport to fly on the "Continential Express," which I paid for with my "American Express" through e-mail on my "Outlook Express" after I landed in Lubbock, TX I checked into the "Holiday Inn Express" to discuss my company's new building "The Express Recovery Unit." And if I forgot anything in Lubbock, TX they said that they would mail it to me via "Federal Express"
